Newco ACE-D Brewer
Coffee Preparation Procedures

1. Turn on red power button on (illuminated). If button does not illuminate check main power switch at rear and to the lower left just above power cord.

2. Remove brew basket and insert one paper filter making sure filter touches all sides of basket.

3. Empty contents of coffee pouch into filter. Replace brew basket onto rails and slide back into brewer.

4. Place empty thermal dispenser on base directly under the brew basket. (Make sure dispenser is empty y holding dispenser over the sink and tipping slightly forward while depressing the button at the base of the sight tube.) Please note: The lid must be in place while brewing to ensure proper heat retention.

5. When the ready light* is illuminated depress the brew button. The coffee will start to drain from the brew basket into the thermal dispenser. Brewing time will be approximately 4 minutes. Do not remove coffee from the dispenser until the brewing cycle has finished. Removal of as little as 3 oz. can adversly affect taste.

6. To clean the brew basket, simply remove from the rails and dump the contents into a lined waste receptacle. Rinse the brew basket by holding it under cold running water. After cleaning replace the brew basket onto the rails and slide back into the brewer.

*If the ready light is not illuminated, brewing will not be at peak temperature, and the resulting coffee will cool too quickly.

Thermal Urn Cleaning Procedures

1. To clean the thermal urn, first remove the stopper and place it on the base where a cup would normally go.

2. Place a filter into the brew basket and empty approximately 1/2 teaspoons of urn cleaner into the filter paper. Slide the brew basket onto the rail and push into the brewer until it stops. Place the thermal urn on brewer under the brew cone.

3. Depress start/brew button and allow a complete cycle of water to pass through the brew basket mixing with the cleaner. Leave the solution in the urn for approximately 10 minutes, or until all stains have been removed.

4. Dump out cleaner from the urn and empty the filter from the brew basket, rinse brew basket under the sink faucet. Replace the brew basket into the brewer and replace the urn under the brew basket.

5. Repeat the process only this time do not use a filter paper or cleaner, just allow hot water to drain into the urn. When the rinse cycle has finished, wait about 2 minutes then dump out the rinse water. After a few minutes tip the urn on an angle over the sink and depress the button, allowing trapped water to escape the valve. Replace the stopper. The urn is now ready to use again.

Note: You may rinse the urn with plain water by following the above instructions, simply omit putting any urn cleaner into the filter paper.

Caution: Water exiting the brew basket is approximately 202° Fahrenheit (95° Celsius). Contact with the skin will cause extreme discomfort.
